Eligible Criteria for IPMAT 2026

Before applying for IPMAT 2026, students need to check if they meet the rules set by the Indian Institute of Management Indore and the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak. These rules help make sure the right students apply.

  • Students must pass Class 10 and Class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognised board.
  • General and NC-OBC students must score at least 60% marks in both classes.
  • SC, ST, and PwD students must score at least 55% marks in both classes.
  • Students who passed Class 12 in 2022 or 2023, or students appearing in 2026, can apply.
  • General category students must be 20 years old or younger as per the given date.
  • SC and ST students can be up to 25 years old because age relaxation is given.

Exam Pattern of IPMAT 2026

Understanding the exam pattern helps students prepare in the right way. IPMAT 2026 happens in online mode, and the full exam runs for two hours. The question paper checks both maths skills and English skills.

What is the Syllabus for IPMAT 2026?

The IPMAT 2026 syllabus comes from the topics students already study in Classes 10, 11, and 12, so it feels familiar and easier to start with. The exam mainly checks skills in Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability, while the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak also adds Logical Reasoning to its test.

Applying for IPMAT 2026 is done online only. The form usually starts around February and stays open until March. A short correction time comes in April, and during this time, students can check their form and correct mistakes.

  • First, visit the official IPMAT website and create an account by entering your basic details like name, date of birth, gender, email ID, and mobile number.
  • After registering, you receive login details, and using them helps you sign in again.
  • Next, fill the form by entering personal details, education details, and other needed information carefully.
  • Then upload scanned copies of documents like your photo, signature, and academic certificates in the correct format.
  • After that, verify your details using the One-Time Password sent to your phone or email.
  • Now pay the application fee using the available online payment options.
  • Finally, submit the form and download a copy, keeping a printout for future use.

What is the Selection Process After IPMAT 2026?

Clearing IPMAT is only the first step. After the exam, students who score well get called for a Personal Interview, where their speaking skills, confidence, and background are checked.

Then the institute makes a final merit list using the test score, interview performance, and sometimes past marks. Students on this list get admission offers, and after document checking and fee payment, their seat in the program is confirmed.
